It all started with a dream of home. Memories crashing like waves over a sandy shore. 
The homeland is calling but I must resist; I am part of the diaspora and this is my new home now.

But I won’t forget or hide where I came from, it’s imprinted on my soul, and my body.

As the feeling of rootlessness undulates, soaring and plunging over time, I turn to the canvas to find balance.

Using colors, textures, and symbolic shapes, each painting tells the story about the need for connection,
to one’s heritage, and to each other too.
