From Old Book To Art Journal
In this free workshop, I will show you how to turn an old hardcover book into an art journal using a long stitch bookbinding technique.
Whether you’re looking to write, sketch, collage, or paint, you will be able to select the type of paper that fits your needs. A wide variety of papers can be used, but to keep it simple, I will be using a combination of recycled sketch paper, and 140lb (300gsm) watercolor paper.
This class is suitable for all levels, and will hopefully spark ideas on creating one-of-a-kind journals for yourself or to give away as gifts!

Color Mixing Journal
Adult Class

Find your unique color style through fun color mixing prompts and exercises. Students will get a quick overview on color theory, then dive into mixing with modern pigments, using mother colors for harmonizing, and best practices for creating and saving custom color recipes in a dedicated journal for future reference.

Cyanotype Tapestry
Outdoor Family Class

Create a collaborative family photogram using found natural objects. A photogram is a picture produced with photographic materials, such as light-sensitive paper, but without the use of a camera. Learn about this photographic printing process which produces a cyan blue print and leave with a one of a kind tapestry.

Become a master at color mixing! In this class you will dive deep into color theory, exploring value, hue, chroma, and color schemes. Students will explore color mixing through fun exercises and learn to take their artwork to the next level. *Instruction can be given in both Spanish and English
